In a recent post, I broke down the personality traits of someone born under a Leo Rising, Virgo Moon, and Libra Moon. I love exploring how different placements come together to shape a person’s inner world—and this time, the combination stuck with me.
While working on a new story, I found myself returning to that chart as a creative anchor. The way this character might handle stress, navigate aspects of life, or try (and fail) to be understood— this really helped me get a base line for the personality I was trying to craft based on the theme of the story.
Below is an interpretation of what I came up with based on the natal chart in that post.
Personality: She is a confident, charismatic presence—especially when she’s working. With a practiced smile and a voice as smooth as steeped honey. Strangers often find themselves revealing things to her they wouldn’t even admit to their closest friends. It’s not magic—it’s the way she listens. The way she leans in just enough. The way she makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the room.
But beneath that charm lies a calculating mind. She keeps sharp mental ledgers—secrets cataloged, emotions mapped, each thread traced to its worth. Every truth she uncovers could become currency. And while she often tells herself it’s just survival, deep down she knows: it’s control. Control she never had growing up.
Money means everything to her. Not for luxury, but for stability. For distance. For power over the shame that’s haunted her since birth. She places immense value on communication—on clarity, openness, understanding—because her life has been defined by everything left unsaid.
When conversations break down, when trust shatters, her carefully held persona starts to slip. Her frustration becomes visible—sharp, fast, and often misdirected. She’ll snap at clients, staff, or strangers when her vibrant control falters, only to retreat inward afterward, guilt simmering in silence. She knows how valuable connection is, so when she cuts it short—especially out of pride or anger—she hates herself a little more.
Despite her ability to make people feel truly seen, she has a cold edge. She can be blunt, curt, even abrasive—especially when she feels cornered. And sometimes, she shuts down entirely. It’s not that she doesn’t care. It’s that caring too openly makes her feel vulnerable—and vulnerability, to her, has always been dangerous.
I find it fun to use astrology as a tool for character development. It helps me go beyond surface traits and really tap into how someone might think, feel, and react—especially when their chart presents inner conflicts.
If this sparked any ideas for you—or if you want to see more about how this character fits into the larger story—let me know. And if you’re curious about building your own characters using charts, feel free to check out the original post here: Beginner’s Guide to Astrology in Storytelling.
Until time,
Keep exploring, keep writing, and don’t be afraid to let a little curiosity guide the way. Your next story might just begin with that one wild, unexpected step forward.
